DGX Spark
ILLUSTRATOR
PHOTOSHOP
Together with NVIDIA’s in-house team of designers, I worked on the announcement for DGX Spark (formerly known as NVIDIA Project DIGITS), a personal AI supercomputer that was announced during Jensen Huang’s keynote at CES 2025.
For my part, I helped to design the die shot (the surface pattern) of the chip, my specific contributions highlighted to below (hover over image). I was also tasked with the final clean up and conversion of the design file, handing off the file to the 3D team so they could render out the design.
This die shot is made up of many little vector shapes, designed in Illustrator. They are then composited all together in Photoshop as smart objects and then later converted into 3D with Maya.
Part of the challenge with this project is that we had to work closely with the engineering team to make components that could be specifically called out during the video, but also make sure that the design did not give away any proprietary information.
The art director was Hailey Westphal and the other designer was Yilan Zhou.
